My most memorable V-day was 2 years ago. My honey told me that he was taking me out to a nice restaurant and surprised me with a dinner at home with candlelight, and some of our favorite love songs. It was absolutely amazing and I still listen to the CD that he created for us. Best V-day that I’ve ever had.

My best Valentines Day ever was in 2009, I had been apart from my husband for 3 months while he was in bootcamp training for the US Marines. His graduation day happened to fall on Valentine’s Day and boy were we glad be together again! That 3 months of no communication was very strenuous. We spent the day driving back home and stopped for the night in a cheap roadside motel. Enjoying take out and simply enjoying just taking in each others presence. ♥

My husband is terrible at gifts, and managed to be relieved from Cupid duty by getting me one dollar scratch off tickets for Valentine’s day. Now I exchange gifts with friends instead and he takes me out to dinner, instead of trying to figure out gifts.

My most memorable valentine’s is hopefully this one because my boyfriend has been hitting around at proposing to me! He works offshore and everytime he gets a signal to text me he says things like “Im really thinking about marrying you” or “I think Im ready are you?” but you know men lol! He is coming home monday and he knows what ring i like and my ring size (He pays attention, lol).

Valentine’s Day is always special and fun when you have someone in your life to love – whether you are in a relationship or not! Just because you don’t have a “partner” by your side doesn’t mean you should HATE V-Day! Mine has always been special because I was blessed with one of the best father’s in the world! Then, almost 3 years ago, I was blessed again with a beautiful baby boy who is my whole world! Valentine’s Day def has a different meaning now!

I have been laughing all week at my husband and telling him he ruined my Valentine’s surprise! We are both diabetics so we can’t really get into all the sweets and chocolates of the holiday but I went out last weekend just to get a box of sugar free cake mix and frosting so that I can make him some special cupcakes on Valentines! My husband NEVER cooks so I thought I would just throw the mix and frosting up in the kitchen cupboard knowing that he never looks in that one! So Sunday night I came home from work and lo and behold he was in the kitchen pouring cake mix into the cake pan! I was like “agghhhhh you ruined your surprise!” “You NEVER look in the cabinets!!!” He said he was craving some cake and was actually looking for ingredients to make one from scratch but stumbled upon my mix! Seriously of all the days!!! But he knows that I am just joking with him and we ate cake for a few days! Scrumptious too!

My best Valentine’s day will be this year’s because it will be the first time that I’ve truly had a Valentine so I’ll be spending it with my boyfriend of almost one year. It’s taken me almost 30 years to get here but it was worth the wait. :)

This will be the 14th Valentine Day for me and my husband – extra special because he proposed to me at 12:00 a.m. and then proceeded to show and tell me how much he loved me all day. This is our 13th year married and we fall more in love with each other every day. True soul-mates happen girls, sometimes with your best friend and when you least expect it – just one kiss can change your lives.

The most special Valentine’s Day I ever had is meeting my husband on match.com. We became friends on match and talked for one month on the phone before we decided to go on a date. We finally had our date on 1/30/04 and our eyes locked. I knew it was love at first site. The funniest thing was he wobbled like a penquin because a week earlier he broke his ankle. He was so adorable. He could not drive his car so he asked his mom to drop him off. At the end of the night he asked if I can drop him off home and I said of course! I dropped him off home and he was so shy that he kissed my cheek and wobbled out of the car. Two years later we got married and are still together until this day!! My husband is the best Valentine gift I have ever received!!

My favorite Valentine’s Day was the one where my husband made me a heart shaped pizza for dinner and chocolate mousse for dessert. It was so much better than battling the crowds at the restaurant and we got to enjoy each other’s company. I only wish that he were still here to celebrate with me. He passed away 17 years ago and was buried on Valentine’s Day….

  14. Karen Smith (3 months ago)

I am hoping this upcoming Valentine’s Day will be the most memorable. I have finally met my soul mate, and we have been talking marriage. I don’t really expect him to propose on that specific day, but just the fact that I know I am spending the day with the love of my life and the man I am going to spend the rest of my life with is perfect enough for me. He is definitely the other half of my heart and I can’t imagine spending the day for lovers with anyone else.
