We’re really psyched to be sharing this great buzz with our QG WD readers – the brilliant and innovative plus size model-turned mega online retailer Aimee Cheshire has been featured prominently in the May issue of MORE Magazine! The Stylebook section of this 40+ fashion and lifestyle publication highlights the Madison Plus founder and shares her tips for embracing your curvy figure while dressing your body in the most flattering fashion – here’s Aimee’s how-to from MORE;

Get Your Clothes Tailored. A good seamstress can make alterations exactly where you need them most. Hem skirts and dresses to fall at the slimmest part of your leg (which is never mid calf). Hem wide-leg pants a little on the long side, to lengthen your leg.

Adjust Your Purse Strap. Don’t let your bag hit you at the widest part of your body (for many of us its our hips) that will only add girth. Instead, let it fall to waist height or jut above. Either buy bags with adjustable straps or let a trained tailor or shoe repairman create a permanent fix.

Take Advantage Of Slimming Styles. Pencil skirts (like our Queen Grace Emma) wrap dresses (our QG April dress is ideal for this) and one button blazers are flattering on just about everyone.

Play With Proportions. Loose clothes on top and bottom will drown out your figure. Pair one piece that’s generously cut with a snugger mate; for example, a wide leg pant with a fitted blouse, or skinny jeans with a tunic top (just like our soon-to-be-release denim skirt and QG summer tees).

All fabulous tips from a curvy in-the-know girl! Stay tuned for QG WD and Madison Plus news coming soon! If you want some great finds, MORE has it for you!
